ABOUT ELLIS EQUINE PERFORMANCE MASSAGE

IMG_3368.JPG

The sport of equestrianism is by far one of the hardest, yet rewarding sports for both the professional and the amateur rider. Having been an avid show jumper before taking a 3 year hiatus while I studied at Writtle University College gaining a BSc (Hons) in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, I know the importance of a reliable and qualified massage therapist to be trusted as part of an extensive team for your horse.

BSC HONS EQUINE SPORTS THERAPY AND REHABILITATION

Having completed my degree at Writtle University College in 2020, I have over the three years studying acquired extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of the horse. By covering diverse topics from equine anatomy and physiology, biomechanics, nutrition, saddle fitting, shoeing, sports medicine and the formulation and implementation of equine rehabilitation programmes, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the equine athlete and the importance of massage when specifically tailored to the individual.

EQUINENERGY BODYWORKER

The Equinology approach uses a combination of techniques that include sports massage, soft-tissue mobilisation, stretching, activation exercises and focal point work to provide optimal support for your horse. This qualification consisted of a 9 day intensive practical teaching, an additional 300+ hours of independent study and post-course 6 month externship and examination - one of the most intensive and thorough courses of its kind!

FULLY INSURED

I am fully insured and clients are always welcome to inspect the document for their own peace of mind.
